U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has unveiled the PEPFAR Blueprint: Creating an AIDS-Free Generation, a roadmap for how the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief will help begin efforts to end the AIDS pandemic, according to a statement by the State Department. The blueprint outlines five principles with specific steps to achieve them. They include rapidly scaling up prevention, treatment and care; expanding high-impact strategies; focusing on women and girls; ending stigma and discrimination; and setting benchmarks to ensure goals are met.
