The Los Angeles City Council has unanimously voted to closedown most of the city’s 762 medical marijuana dispensaries, reports the LosAngeles Times. Under the ban, each of the medical marijuana shops will beordered to shut down immediately or face legal action. Medical patients andtheir caregivers are still allowed to grow and share the drug in small groups(three people or less). Patients may find some additional relief: Councilmembers also voted to allow about 170 of the city’s oldest dispensaries to stayopen.
