My one and only involvement in a clinical trial left me upset. When I inquired (after weeks of traveling on my own dime) when would the promised metro cards kick in, the research nurse in charge told me I should feel privileged to even be considered for this clinical trial and proceeded to inform me of the cost of the trial medicines I was taking. Actually research was being done on me and it would eventually help all involved. I'm a Black Woman.

No suprise

It says especially black women, this is because the medical community could care less about the black community, an example of this is, Date Issued: February 19, 2021,The Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic has caused an increase in the use of pulse oximeters, and recent reports suggest that the devices may be less accurate in people with dark skin pigmentation. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is informing patients and healthcare providers, the medical community doesn't care.
