Tuesday, February 7, marks the 12th annualNational Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD), a national HIV testing,treatment andawareness initiative focusing on African Americans. Healthy BlackCommunitiesInc., the lead organizer, coordinates this event in partnership withothernational organizations. The theme of this year’s awareness day is“Changing theCourse of HIV/AIDS, One Black Life at a Time!” A “Black AIDS-FreeGeneration”is a new goal introduced this year, which supports the overall aim setbySecretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama ofcreating aglobal AIDS-free generation.
