Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson has revealed he had two gay uncles who died from AIDS during the height of the epidemic, E! reports. He credits their memory as his inspiration to fight for LGBT civil rights. He works closely with Straight But Not Narrow, a charity and campaign directed to young straight males by using comedy and their peers to positively influence their views on LGBT teens. Straight But Not Narrow was founded by Hutcherson’s friend Avan Jogia, star of Nickelodian’s Victorious. On April 21, Hutcherson will become the youngest recipient of the Vanguard Award at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. Past honorees include Elizabeth Taylor, Charlize Theron and Janet Jackson.
