The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has granted $68 million to 114 groups nationwide to provide HIV care and treatment for women, infants, children and youth in need, according to an HHS statement. Funded through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, the grants will help uninsured and underinsured people with HIV who are newly diagnosed, who have never been in care or who are returning to care after at least a yearlong lapse.
