The board of directors of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS,Tuberculosis and Malaria has adopted guiding principles for a new funding modelthat will change the way countries apply for money, PlusNews reports. Thedetails are still being drafted, but the model would allocate funding tocountry groupings based on disease burden and their ability to contribute totheir own efforts. A final decision on the model is expected in November.
