In other AHF news, they recently told all 900+ people here on their Medicare/Medicaid HMO that they can no longer afford to run it here and it is closing down at the end of 2023 causing stress and worry on 900+ needing to find new insurance by the end of December 2023.

My brother was living and working (and sober) at a mission on skid row for years. He moved into AHF owned Madison Hotel and was dead in a week. Social services are absolutely necessary. He would still be alive had he stayed at URM where he had constant access to social services. FYI nobody noticed he was deceased in his room for days. On the weekend of 1/27/24, 3 of their tenants were found dead in their rooms. AHF does not care about these people.
