A recent study has found that treatment costs and limited insurance coverage keeps many migraine sufferers from getting proper treatment for their pain, which can be very severe in some patients—and has been linked to a higher risk for cardiovascular disease in some men. Of the patients studied, 42 percent said that their insurance plan limits the amount of migraine treatment they can receive, and 37 percent said they didn’t refill their prescriptions because they couldn’t afford to.
