Fatigue

Feeling deeply tired is common in people with cancer. Chemotherapy is only one contributor. The first step is to work with your health care team to manage symptoms, including pain, depression, anxiety, anemia, sleep problems and any underlying health conditions. One important way to minimize fatigue, though, seems counterintuitive: Stay active. According to the American Institute for Cancer Research, “Studies show that people with cancer who exercise are less tired, experience improvements in cancer-related fatigue and have greater strength and activity levels.”
