I know one of your questions concerned whether the person ever had an STD, but I think this one is related, gets right to the point and is super important: What is your HIV status? If he/she doesn't know and you really like the person and want to date him/her, then you could say, "Let's get tested together." As I've lived, I've also learned that you have to be prepared to ask the tough questions so you can protect yourself. If the person is reluctant or gets weird on you in any way, that tells you it's time to keep it moving. We have to learn to listen to that inner voice that tells us to be careful so we can protect our health and our heart. Gotta love yourself first. There'll always be other people to date.
