As an HIV positive afab/gender queer person, I am very aware of every add I see relating to anything even remotely HIV. The ads for prep always say that the company has not studied its effectiveness on individuals afab. This is highly frustrating & needs to change. Afab whether cis or trans are an afterthought to the makers of these products. Also, to many heterosexual people believe it can't happen to them or that they aren't really at risk because they aren't gay.

Also even the ads & literature are targeted to gay men. There is very little or no representation of afab, people in any of the marketing. Until the representation is there, afab women will continue to not take it seriously
