Frankly, singling outdiet beverages as a unique driver of dental caries and tooth erosion is overly simplistic and misleading. Science makes clear that oral health is influenced by diverse factors, including types of foods consumed, the length of time foods are retained in the mouth and the level of oral hygiene. Moreover, the body of research shows that individual susceptibility to both dental caries and erosion varies depending on a personâ??s behavior, lifestyle, diet and genetic make-up.
