In 1994, my senior year, I made the decision to enlist. I had my boot camp leave date, parents signatures, and I had chosen to be trained as a lab tech. Then the certified letter came... On my 20 year Pozversary I went back to the MEPS. Military Entrance Processing Station. I asked to talk to the recruiter and shared with him my status and my story and that I was healthy and happy but never forgot the way that Discrimination felt.
