I just found out a few years ago, that I have fibroids. What makes me mad is that I've always had heavy periods - since I was 15, I'm now 54. Turns out the doctors knew but never told me anything, just kept dismissing me. It wasn't until I had severe bleeding after menopause that they wanted to tell me I have many, many fibroids. Still, no treatment options have been offered to me and no doctor will sit down and explain. Frustration and distrust level of doctors now on 10.
