It is amazing to me with all the abused and batterd,neglected childrin in the world he constantly mentions the poor,one sure way to poverty and hunger is 4 0r 5kids you can't support,how can people in this high tech society listen to him,gay people adopt kids that some americans wouldn't adopt,thats why they go to Russia,with hiv ,herpes ,hepc on the rise,no condoms,no birth control,and you wonder how logical people have a problem with organized relgion.
Although I am not Catholic I would think that now as Pope, taking on a more liberal view is highly unlikely. Wishful thinking lends itself to the groups that want it their way & understandablly but this is a long shot way out of reach.
It's all about being monogamous relationship. Why I had this? because I'm a victim, because of stupidity, agreed with the suggestion of my boyfriend. I'm not perfect.
Eliza Jane, I am confused what you sorry about? I have moments to deal with a lot of folks that have a negative out look on the Body of Christ in my Faith or a anti spirit of kindness to a person who wants only the best for their Children and have meet a lot of Roman Catholic with a spirit of Joy and Faith works, for many have been blessed to be educated selfishly by these systems to be able to read and write. Yes educate; what is the point about Christians Jane,is it about the Pope's humanness
I'm sorry, but isn't that what the Pope is supposed to do anyway? Work with the poor and sick? And just because he kissed the foot of a person living with HIV, doesn't mean he will change the outdated views the catholic church has about other issues...funny how these priests will use a cell phone, ride in cars, and use electricity, but won't come into the 21st Century on issues related to women, pedophilia, sexuality or condom use.
I pray for Godly direction for the new Bishop of Roman and I pray for the Presiding Bishop of the American Episcopal Church, and the Archbishop of Canterbury may God's Speed be with them to Glorify God for Peace, Justice and Holy Life of Love and Happiness.
