Undetectable or not, we should disclose our status before engaging in any sexual act. Everyone should be able to choose if they want to engage or not. i understand U=U-but not everyone does, and I do not expect them to. I feel for Sanjay, but if he would have given Doe a choice, he may not be in this situation.
You should be prosecuted for passing it to others the guy who you didn't know you infected moron. You already had H.I.v or your count wouldn't be that low I have had it 3yrs my count has never been that low maybe you gave it to more ppl and just not saying anything. He did nothing wrong.
Take my hiv meds everyday if you are undetectable you can't pass Hiv. 1% and also there has never been anyone pass it on the meds. If the guy who caught it you say your CD4 count was so Low that THEY think you had AIDS until your cd4 count went higher. Big clue right there you already had H.I.v. Before you slept with him because the lower your cd4 count is that means you are further along . He is undetectable and doing better than you . You are the only one who can pass it to others. and should
First of all alot of you have been saying blah blah blah, I have Hiv I live in Scott county Indiana where in 2015 there was a total of 215 people that got Hiv from Injection Drug use only shooting up and my husband who is still negative for it. We never used protection one time even surprising when I had it he didn't get it through sex and many times I know some will say its nasty but just say that some blood was present. I thank god he never got it and he has been taking the prep meds and I
To further from Johndoe's comment, Rogerwood, it is childish to expect to know everyone's HIV status before sex happens (often alcohol and/or drugs may be involved, and these conversations kind of kill the mood for some people). By assuming everyone is positive when you sleep with them, it removes the need for any disclosure - and keeps you protected. If you willingly have unprotected sex, you only have yourself to blame for your infection (although I am truly sorry it happened).
I also have to add I have very little sympathy for your situation. When I got infected I knew I was to blame for having sex with people I didn’t know etc, it sucked and I simply owned my infection and grew a pair and did everything I had to do to be ok. You on the other hand by your actions now are potentially the next victim of these laws. You can claim you disclosed all you want in Florida but if you ever stand accused you must prove it and will be your word against your accuser.
For roger wood. Sorry for diagnosis. If the person you accused in court was undetectable and presented medical records showing he was undetectable then he wasn’t the person who infected you. You 90 days ago test only is certain for an infection 3 months before and it depends on the test used. There is more chance for a false negative than a transmission from undetectable.

staypoz: complacent in these cases is being complicit and agree with the laws. They are not fair and I disagree with your statement. While I support disclosure when undetectable for the psychological well being of he hiv+, I disagree completely with the legal mandate and YOU SHOULD TOO. I don’t see any cancer, asthma or diabetes patient being force to disclose medical history to sexual partners; before you say it, you have the same chances of a “cancer” sexual transmission than from UVL = Zero.
