Hepatitis E Is Mysteriously Passing From Rats to Humans in Hong Kong

As the infective agent is found only in Hong Kong, so far, we can assume that is the location of the Hepatitis E. The last person infected may have contracted the virus from a local restaurant, or vegetables washed in contaminated water. If he is a smoker he may have infected himself by touching a surface that was used by rats. So many routes, all of which are plausible, we may not ever know how he became infected.

If he purchased say soda cans and drinks directly out of the can without cleaning it, and that can was stored in a warehouse or store that has rats coming through and contaminating items... boom you have a vector. It does not matter that the mans home did not have rats.
