I am a cranberry health researcher at Rutgers University. Cranberry does not treat UTI (never has), but it does prevent it. We know that cranberry juice does, in fact, contain the active proanthocyanidins (PACs) and it has been shown clinically that 1 serving of cranberry juice drink (27% cranberry) prevents recurrence of UTI. You do not have to drink pure cranberry for the benefits. All cranberry products have PACs and will help maintain urinary tract health at single servings per day.
