I’m a heterosexual wm who wished there was a prep for me 15yrs ago when my then bf of 10 yrs exposed me. Had there been such a thing I would have jumped at it. Now my dr is talking abt a shot I don’t trust it, it’s so new and it’s bad enough my body has been through a lot from the beginning of this tragic storm that never ends.

Thank you for writing/publishing information about PrEP. Injectable cabotegravir has proven to be safe and effective for HIV prevention in women (and men), and it's important to share this information with the community. One comment: the title of your article is quite misleading. In fact, the data reported in this article show that Black women in the US prefer oral HIV-prevention pills, not shots, by a wide margin (63% vs 37%). I would suggest revising your title.
