The prices of many brand name drugs that are commonly used by American seniors jumped almost twice the rate of inflation last year, according to a new report by the American Association of Retired People. The report argued that almost 200 drugs—including popular respiratory aid, Combivent—have seen substantial price hikes, and that there was a 6.2% average rise in the manufacturer price of the drugs, compared to America’s general inflation rate of 3.2% last year.
