The offices of Women With a Vision (WWAV), a New Orleans–basedorganization that provides health care and support for poor minority women,were broken into and set on fire, resulting in significant losses for the group,MRZine reports. Advocates believe that suspects directly targeted information,files and materials crucial for WWAV to carry out its work. The fire has forcedWWAV to temporarily close, and the group is seeking an interim space, as wellas donations to continue carrying out its mission. WWAV was founded to meet alack of HIV prevention resources for at-risk women, including poor women, sexworkers, women with substance abuse issues and transgender women.
