Workplace Stress and Depression

Work-related stress may be tied to depression, says a new study published in the American Journal of Public Health. While previous studies have found that heart disease, high blood pressure and depression are linked to certain high-pressure occupations or companies, this new research shows both men and women suffer from high levels of depression across a variety of jobs when they lack the support of co-workers and supervisors. Researchers say that the findings show a need for depression prevention in the workplace.
