Soy Protein Good for Diabetes

Suffer from diabetes, kidney or heart disease? A new report suggests that eating a diet rich in soy protein can have a positive impact. Researchers found that people with diabetes who consumed a diet of 35 percent animal protein, 35 percent textured soy protein and 30 percent vegetable protein had significantly lower levels of fasting blood sugar, total cholesterol, “bad” LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, compared to those who did not consume soy.
