A Healthier Halloween

This Halloween, protect your kids’ teeth and health by making some strategic choices in the grocery store. Pick up “mini” or “fun sized” candies, or sugarless gum. Go for dark chocolates instead of milk, or buy candies that take a long time to finish, such as lollipops or hard candies. And don’t forget to take advantage of the health benefits in Halloween’s other staple – pumpkin. Easily mixed into breads, oatmeal and muffins, pumpkins are low in calories and full of potassium and beta-carotene. Click here for more tips on how to make Halloween a fun and healthy holiday.
