Make Exercise Fun for Kids

Searching for ways to get your kids out from in front of the television? Do they think exercise is boring and tedious? The Nemours Foundations suggest that children respond to games and activities that sound appealing; check out its tips on how to make staying in shape fun and enjoyable:

-Play games that keep your children busy by asking them to hunt for different items of a certain color or shape.
-Go for a walk with your kids and sing or tell a story aloud to keep their attention off the fact that they’re exercising.
-Make walking fun—skip, hop, jump, race and walk backwards.
-Make learning a part of exercising. Have your kids count how many things they see, or identify shapes and colors.
