How to Add 14 Years to Your Life

A University of Cambridge study published in the journal Public Library of Science Medicine suggests that extending your life’s warranty could be as easy as the following steps: Don’t smoke, eat five or more fruits and veggies a day, exercise regularly and drink alcohol in moderation. The team tracked 20,000 people in the United Kingdom and found that those who picked up these four healthy habits could theoretically live an average of 14 years longer than those who didn’t. And these same participants were less likely to die of cardiovascular disease, cancer and respiratory disease. Even better news:  Benefits were seen regardless of social class or weight.
