factors associated with an increased risk of death from the condition are
similar in both groups.
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in African-American and
white women in the United States. But while African-American women are less
likely to develop breast cancer than white women, they are about 30 percent more
likely to die from the disease.
