Struggling with Diabetes Management?

Older black and Latino patients with diabetes struggle to keep the disease under control more than white patients, according to a new study. The research, which looked at 1,199 people with diabetes over the age of 55, shows that medication adherence and emotional responses to having diabetes are the two main factors that contribute to the difference. Eating healthily, exercising, taking medication regularly and reducing stress are all critical factors in managing the disease, according to the study.
