Parents Stress Might Affect Kids’ Health

A parent’s level of stress might play a role in his or her child’s obesity, says researchers at the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions. A survey of 96 overweight and obese children and their parents suggested that moms and dads who are stressed out may spend less time planning healthy meals or encouraging exercise for their kids. Stress on the parents can also influence childhood depression, which affects kids’ overall health.
