The number of American children who suffer from chronic illnesses has risen sharply in recent years, says a new report from researchers at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. The top three problems: obesity, asthma and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The researchers say that genetic, social and environmental factors all play roles in this increase.
