African American and Hispanic caregivers are more likely than people of other races to mistake signs of Alzheimer’s disease as a normal part of the aging process, according to a new study by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. This makes them less likely to get their loved ones diagnosed for the disease, and causes delays in accessing support services.
