Though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that all children over the age of 6 months who are asthmatic receive the flu shot, a recent study showed that only 29 percent actually do. According to the CDC, which conducted the study, the flu could incite serious asthma attacks that require hospitalization.
